Spin Care is a skincare fabric conditioner that turns everyday clothes and bedding into carewear for people with dry body skin who want the benefit without a new wardrobe or another daily routine.
Dry body skin is one of the most common skin complaints. When dermatologists examined 48,630 German workers, they rated 29.4% as having dry skin, and in the Rotterdam Study 60% of 5,547 middle-aged and older adults had it. It shows up as itching, flaking and tightness on the legs, back and arms, and in the German data it went hand in hand with much higher odds of eczema. The person with the dry skin carries most of the discomfort. When an older parent or someone with limited mobility cannot reach their own back, a daughter, partner or carer ends up doing the work.
The standard answer is a daily chore: rub lotion over the whole body after a shower, wait for it to sink in before getting dressed, and repeat every day. Many people know this and still skip it. The lotion feels sticky, the timing never fits, and some patches are hard to reach, so it happens a few times a month and the skin goes back to how it was. Meanwhile clothes and sheets touch most of the body for hours every day, yet washing them does nothing for the skin. People need a way to keep body skin comfortable that doesn't depend on a daily step they keep skipping or on replacing what they wear.
