A subscription mobile app that gives people who want to be more physically active a growing library of short exercise-based mini-games, each one turning a different type of movement into something playable.
People who want to be more physically active often lose the physical, mental and long-term health benefits of regular movement because they cannot sustain a routine long enough for it to become part of their life.
To try to stay active, people set new routines, join a gym, follow along with workout videos, or track sessions on a phone, largely repeating the same movements on a fixed schedule. Doing the same drills week after week with no built-in variety or reward becomes tedious, and many people stop showing up once their initial motivation fades, often within the first few months. People who succeed once frequently cycle through the same start-stop pattern again later, restarting a new routine or app each time enthusiasm returns. The result is a wide group of people who want to move more, have already tried more than one approach, and still have not found a way to keep going once the novelty wears off.
8/10: Most people who set out to exercise regularly stop within a few months, and roughly half of new gym joiners quit inside six months, only to restart and quit again later. That stop-start cycle costs people fitness, energy and confidence each time it happens, and it falls entirely on the person trying to build the habit, since there is rarely anyone else managing it for them. People describing their own routines on fitness forums talk about forcing themselves to tolerate exercise rather than enjoying it, which is exactly the kind of burden that erodes a routine before it becomes automatic.
A mobile app gives people who want to move more access to a library of short exercise-based mini-games, each one turning a specific type of physical movement into a playable challenge, so they can pick a different way to be active whenever they open the app.
